Hi folks
So here's the next installment of the For The Love radio show. My guests this month are Richard Whittingham aka DJ Dick founder of the Cake Label & Different Drummer records in Birmingham. One time member of Original Rockers / Rockers Hi-Fi. Dick used to DJ at Duran Duran's club The Rumrunner in the 80's and went on to promote some of the best club nights in Brum through the 90's (Cake/Breathless/What A Life) then went on to start up the Leftfoot club night with his fellow guest selector Adam Regan.

Together they have been responsible for bringing to the 2nd city a myriad of artists & DJs including Jazzanova, Bugz In The Attic, Amp Fiddler, Roy Ayers, Domu, Zero db, Norman Jay, Quantic, Alice Russell & TM Juke, Mr Scruff, Kenny Dope Gonzalez, Moodymann, Ty, Future Boogie, Gilles Peterson & me to name but a few. Also touring themselves with The Different Drummer Soundsystem.

Whilst Dick has now officially retired from DJing & promoting, Adam has continued to hold aloft the Leftfoot torch & in recent years has taken charge of a couple of Birmingham's best venues the hare and hounds, kings heath & the bulls head, moseley where you can catch , music, comedy & art across the board pretty much every night of the week.

I was thrilled to get these two silver foxes, who between them have done so much for the Birmingham music scene on the show & to get Dick to dust off his headphones & make a rare appearance on the twin tubs.
